Happy Weekend! I want to share this great resource with you. We use Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool for our curriculum and I cannot tell you enough how much we love it! I created this planning chart to organize us each week. My older two children often double up on some subjects during the week, and they love to know ahead of time which days they have Music, Art, and P.E. This printable planning chart gives them (and me) an outlook of their week in one place.
I don't fill it up with a lot of details. I keep it simple with short instructions, such as "Do Days 98 & 99" in Monday's English box, and I may have "P.E." in Thursday's Program Year box so they know that in addition to the regular Bible, Science, and History (Program Year) lessons they will also have P.E. that day.
You can laminate this printable chart or slip it into a sheet protector. Then use skinny dry erase markers to fill in the chart. It's a great way to keep the kids in the know on what they are to do, so that I don't have to jump over as soon as they finish an assignment and remind them to complete the next day's lesson and assignment for that subject before they get started on the next subject. I don't want to make them jump back and forth, or interrupt them in the middle of learning. Having the planning chart laminated, or in a sheet protector, makes it not only reusable, but should we have to adjust something on the chart, all I have to do is erase and replace the information.

Good Morning! I am back today with this Homeschool Day Keeper! We have been homeschooling using the Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool curriculum. If you haven't heard of this amazing homeschool resource yet, I encourage you to do a search for it. It has been a blessing to our family! These day keepers work really great with the All-in-One Homeschool curriculum.
The curriculum runs 180 days for each level. We homeschool at least 180 days a year so, I wanted a 180 day, day keeper anyway. There are some really helpful printable resources on the All-in-One Homeschool site, but being who I am... I just had to create my own with a format and design that works for our needs. :) The format of this particular day keeper is great if your child is learning at different levels, and perhaps even on different days in each level, (like my older 2 children) during the school year.
I have created 2 pages for this keeper. The first page contains days 1-99, and the second page contains days 100-180. Just circle or strike through each day as you finish it. There is a place for the student's name and also the year. Print on a 110-weight card stock for durability.
If this day keeper would be of use to you, feel free to download it herethrough Google Docs. You can even find some coordinating wall art for your playroom or schoolroom here!
Hey guys! How about a mid-week pick-me-up? This Bus and Chevron Printable Wall Art is my little "happy" for you! This wall art will add a bit of cheer to your child's room, playroom, classroom, or homeschool space!
We have been perking up our own homeschool space, and I thought I would share what I made! Simply save the image below to your computer, and print as an 8 x 10 image. Cut out and pop into a bright white frame! We are loving ours!
We just celebrated my daughter's 12th birthday with a Game Night! It was such a fun way to have some good old-fashioned fun! A Game Night is a great alternative to a big party, but still full of fun! Keep reading for tips and inspiration to host your own Game Night!
This invitation is the perfect way to get guests excited about your Game Night! Right away they can see that your game night is going to be a modern take on some good old-fashioned fun! You can find this printable invitation in my Etsy shop,PaperCharm Designs.
Of course you will need some games! We set out several games, but the game the girls chose immediately was The Game of Life. I'm sure you know this one; it was probably a childhood favorite! Amazon has my 2 favorite versions of this game available for purchase. There is theclassic (affiliate link) and the updated(affiliate link)version. We have the updated version and I have to say I love it! The classic version is timeless and of course, also TONS of fun!
If you host game nights on a regular basis, I recommend asking each invitee to bring a side dish and you, the host, supply the main dish. Baked chicken tenders and sub sandwiches are quick and easy! Since our game night was in honor of our birthday girl, I supplied the meal, choosing foods that would not get in the way of the girls' fun. Baked chicken tenders, rolls, and chips with dip worked great for our game night. To add charm, I served the dip in navy blue striped muffin cups on a small white cake pedestal.
Paper straws added a pretty pop to drinks on the game table. A plastic table cloth on a folding table made for quick clean up. The table allowed for the girls to have their own space, away from "mom and dad", where they could listen to their favorite playlists and CDs! I added some candy to the table for a sweet treat, and also served the girls cupcakes.
It was a great night of good old-fashioned fun, with some modern touches. The girls had a great time and we are all really excited to host another game night very soon!
I just listed this new, printable party invitation in my Etsy shop! I love the gorgeous, fiery color scheme and arrow theme on this invitation, that lends to my daughter's favorite movie series!
